Unbelievable weather! Still now in late April the snow just keeps falling. Many, many Alpine resorts
have received even more snow last week. It seems the real winter came very late this year although skiing has
been very good throughout the season but not turning into excellent until early March throughout April.
Let's see how long it goes on for but most resorts are not changing their opening dates because most of
the skiers have of course booked in advance and the resorts are getting emptier.
Many resorts have already closed for the season although there would be more than enough snow for several weeks of
more skiing. Closed resorts include Arabba, Canazei, Berchtesgaden, Lenggries, Reit im Winkl, Spitzingsee, Brand,
Fieberbrunn, Filzmoos, Kitzbuhel, Kirchberg, Fiss, Flachau, Serfaus, Mayrhofen, Niederau, Wildschonau, Schladming,
Waidring, Zell am Ziller, Anzere, Grachen, Grimentz, Les Mosses, Leysin and Zinal. Most German resorts and all
Bulgarian resorts have closed for the season.
